Our Mantra
We are different. This is what we believe in.
Growth is not linear.
Perhaps society has labelled some seasons of our (academic) lives, or even ourselves, as "failures" and "falling behind our peers".
But really, we're learning. Failure is part of growth! Sometimes we do better, sometimes we perform poorer. Failure is how we learn. If you succeed all the time, what can you learn from?
Failure is not a person, give yourself the opportunities to fail.
"Behind" what? "Behind" who? We each have our own unique path to walk. We can be secure in our own growth, abilities and identity.
Stay teachable.
Practice does not make perfect; practice makes permanent. The more you do something, the more used you are to the task. But what if you have been practicing the wrong thing all this time?
Stay open to learn from others, allow wisdom to give you fresh perspectives.
Milestones are not destinations.
We often recognise performance in examinations as a destination. Especially for major examinations, we tend to treat it as an end point that "must be good".
But learning is far from over! We may become more specialised in our knowledge and so some content becomes "irrelevant", but the skills learnt in your younger years remain applicable. Every subject learnt and paper taken has a purpose; to train us in valuable and timeless skills to do well in the future.
